Bosch's revenue from automotive business is expected to increase by 7% this year

Bosch expects its revenue from the automotive business to grow by 7% to 47 billion euros this year, which is more than the 5.5% year-on-year increase of the previous year, which is about three times the growth rate of global automobile production.

Bosch's automotive business is known as a mobility solution. Benefiting from the rapid development of auto-piloting and electronicization in the automotive industry, Bosch’s automotive business is also gaining momentum. For example, revenue from the radar sensor business is expected to increase by 60%, but video sensor sales will fall by 80%.

Rolf Bulander, Bosch Automotive Business Director, said at the press conference: "As an automotive system supplier, Bosch has grown faster than the market and has maintained a rapid momentum."

Bosch's growth rate for the automotive business this year is expected to exceed the growth rate of the entire group. Bosch expects its overall operating revenue to increase by 3% to 5% compared to 2016, mainly because other businesses' expectations are relatively weak.
